Solar Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Coordinator

RemoteFull-Time8:30 AM to 5:30 PM in the client's time zone (exact time zone to be confirmed during hiring)

This role is open to applicants based in the Philippines only. You will support the operations and maintenance team of a U.S. solar energy company: monitor solar systems, investigate inverter and communication alerts, work with the equipment manufacturer's technical support, and prepare clear troubleshooting summaries so the field technician arrives on site with a plan. Prior experience in coordination, dispatch, technical support, incident management or operations support and strong English are required. Solar experience is an advantage but not mandatory: the company is willing to train.

Remote, full-time solar operations and maintenance coordinator based in the Philippines: monitor solar system alerts, coordinate with the manufacturer's technical support, and prepare clear pre-visit troubleshooting summaries, reports and schedules for a U.S. solar company's field technician.

About this role

This is a full-time, remote role based in the Philippines, supporting the operations and maintenance team of a U.S. solar energy company. You will report to operations management and work closely with the company's field technician and with SolarEdge technical support. The main goal of the role is to reduce technician downtime: you will handle remote diagnostics so that the technician arrives on site with a clear, actionable plan instead of waiting for remote support during the visit. Day to day you will review solar system performance data in the company's monitoring platform, identify inverter faults and communication errors, contact SolarEdge support by live chat, and keep accurate records of every alert, investigation, case reference and resolution. Before each site visit you will prepare a troubleshooting summary covering the affected equipment, serial numbers, alert history, support case outcomes and recommended next steps. You will also prepare performance reports, track open support cases, coordinate technician schedules, and provide billing and administrative support for maintenance and field service work. Solar experience is a strong advantage but not mandatory: the company is willing to train a motivated candidate with excellent English, strong coordination experience, good technical aptitude and a proactive attitude. Candidates from technical support, dispatch, incident management, service coordination or field operations backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

  • Identify and investigate inverter faults, communication errors and other system alerts
  • Contact SolarEdge technical support by live chat and follow each case through to resolution
  • Prepare pre-visit troubleshooting summaries covering affected equipment, serial numbers, alert history, support case outcomes and recommended next steps
  • Maintain accurate records of all alerts, investigations, case references and resolutions
  • Track outstanding support cases and follow up on pending issues and deadlines
  • Coordinate field technician schedules
  • Prepare performance reports and handover notes for operations management
  • Provide billing and administrative support for maintenance and field service activities

What we’re looking for

  • Prior experience in coordination, dispatch, service coordination, incident management, technical support or operations support (mid-level)
  • Strong spoken and written English communication skills
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Attention to detail when recording equipment information, troubleshooting steps and case updates
  • Ability to learn technical systems and software platforms quickly
  • Confidence communicating with technical support representatives
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to follow structured troubleshooting processes
  • Proficiency with computers, online platforms, spreadsheets, email and digital recordkeeping
  • Ability to prepare clear, structured reports and handover notes
  • Reliable follow-through on pending issues, deadlines and assigned tasks
  • A proactive approach to identifying issues and making sure next steps are completed

Nice to have

  • Previous experience in solar energy, renewable energy, electrical services or equipment maintenance
  • Familiarity with solar inverters, photovoltaic (PV) systems or energy monitoring platforms
  • Experience using SolarEdge monitoring tools or working with SolarEdge technical support
  • Experience coordinating field technicians, maintenance teams, installation teams or service personnel
