Personal Lines Insurance Specialist

RemoteFull-TimeU.S. business hours

This is a client-facing role where you are the primary point of contact for clients, carriers, and underwriters, and you are expected to own the Personal Lines function rather than follow tasks. It requires excellent spoken and written English and the confidence to work independently. Insurance experience is a plus but not required, and we will train an exceptional communicator.

Own the full personal lines policy lifecycle for a U.S. brokerage, from quoting and binding through renewals and client servicing.

About this role

A client-facing role taking full ownership of personal insurance operations for a U.S. brokerage serving clients across homeowners, renters, auto, jewelry, and other personal lines products. You will manage the complete policy lifecycle, from initial quoting and binding through renewals, policy updates, and ongoing client servicing, and act as the primary point of contact for clients, carriers, and underwriters. Insurance experience is preferred but not a dealbreaker. We are open to training an exceptional candidate who brings intelligence, responsibility, and the drive to master the role. This is a high-trust, high-ownership position with real long-term growth potential.

What you’ll do

  • Prepare insurance quotes and bind policies.
  • Manage renewals proactively across multiple client accounts.
  • Process coverage and payment changes.
  • Coordinate with insurance carriers and underwriters.
  • Provide proof of insurance to banks and other third parties.
  • Prepare proposals that clearly communicate coverage options to clients.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, carriers, and underwriters.
  • Maintain accuracy and confidentiality while juggling multiple client accounts simultaneously.

What we’re looking for

  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Ability to manage the complete Personal Lines policy lifecycle (quoting, binding, renewals, policy servicing, payment changes).
  • A high level of responsibility and the ability to work independently.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential client information.
  • Technology proficiency and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • Ability to communicate professionally with insurance carriers, underwriters, banks, and clients.
  • A smart, quick learner who is receptive to training.

Nice to have

  • Personal Lines insurance experience (homeowners, renters, auto, jewelry).
  • Experience using Applied Epic, a significant advantage.
  • Familiarity with carrier portals.
  • Ability to understand insurance coverages and policy language.
  • Experience reviewing insurance policies and preparing proposals.
  • Experience coordinating with underwriters and third-party institutions.
