About this role

You will monitor security alerts and system health across managed client environments — reviewing alerts as they come in, judging their severity, investigating Microsoft 365 and Windows alerts, and recommending next actions. You will escalate incidents per documented procedures and record your findings, actions, and recommendations in tickets. This role offers a growth path into advanced Microsoft 365 administration and security monitoring. Remote, full-time, U.S. business hours.

What you’ll do

  • Monitor security alerts and system health across managed client environments.
  • Triage alert severity and recommend next actions.
  • Investigate Microsoft 365 alerts — sign-in risk, mail flow, licensing, and policy.
  • Investigate Windows event and system alerts.
  • Document findings, actions taken, and recommendations in tickets.
  • Escalate security or infrastructure incidents per documented procedures.

What we’re looking for

  • Hands-on experience monitoring IT systems or security alerts in a professional environment.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration.
  • Basic Windows troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with a ticketing system and strong written English.
  • Ability to work U.S. business hours.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Microsoft Defender or Microsoft Sentinel.
  • Experience supporting an MSP with multiple client tenants.
  • Experience with RMM tools (ConnectWise, Datto RMM, NinjaOne, Kaseya, Atera).
