About this role
You will own the permitting workstream for EV charging projects across U.S. jurisdictions — researching local requirements, assembling permit-ready packages (site plans, single-line diagrams, load calculations, equipment specs), submitting to building departments, and resolving plan-check deficiencies until approval. You will coordinate stamped drawings with licensed engineers and keep a clean tracker across many concurrent projects.
What you’ll do
- Research jurisdiction-specific permit requirements for new EV charging sites.
- Assemble permit-ready packages: site plans, single-line diagrams, load calculations, equipment specs.
- Submit permit applications to U.S. building departments and track them to approval.
- Communicate with plan reviewers, inspectors, and zoning offices to resolve deficiencies.
- Coordinate stamped drawings with licensed engineers when required.
- Maintain a permitting tracker and jurisdiction database across multiple projects.
What we’re looking for
- Hands-on experience preparing and managing U.S. EV charging — or comparable electrical/construction — permit applications.
- Understanding of building vs. electrical permits and when stamped engineer drawings are required.
- Ability to read site plans, single-line diagrams, and load calculations.
- Clear spoken English to work with U.S. building departments by phone.
- Reliable overlap with U.S. business hours.
Nice to have
- AutoCAD or Bluebeam Revu markup experience.
- Familiarity with permitting portals (Accela, eTRAKiT, ProjectDox).
- Experience supporting utility incentive applications.
