About this role
You will sit at the front end of a U.S. healthcare operations team, reading and interpreting patient medical records, summarizing what matters clinically, and flagging the findings a medical team needs to see. You will speak directly with physician offices and medical staff to obtain and clarify records, and use your clinical judgment — not billing or coding rules — to decide what is significant. This is a clinical role for someone with a nursing background or equivalent hands-on clinical experience.
What you’ll do
- Read and interpret patient medical records and chart excerpts.
- Summarize each record clearly and flag the clinically significant findings for the medical team.
- Call physician offices and medical staff to obtain or clarify medical information.
- Apply clinical judgment to labs, medications, and history — not billing/coding logic.
- Work reliably during U.S. business hours with strong spoken and written English.
What we’re looking for
- A nursing background or equivalent hands-on clinical experience reviewing and interpreting medical records.
- Ability to identify clinically significant findings and explain why they matter.
- Comfort speaking directly with physicians and medical offices by phone.
- Strong spoken and written English.
- Reliable availability during U.S. business hours.
Nice to have
- Experience with EMR/EHR systems (Epic, Cerner, athenahealth, and similar).
- Exposure to medical underwriting, claims review, or insurance coordination.
- Experience writing clinical summaries for a medical or review team.
