About this role
You will own the books for U.S. real estate, property management, and construction clients — building a Chart of Accounts from scratch, running AP/AR, rent collections and tenant ledgers, owner distributions, bank/credit-card/loan reconciliations, and construction job costing against project budgets across multiple properties or LLCs. This is a hands-on role for a bookkeeper who has done U.S. real-estate or construction books specifically — not general bookkeeping.
What you’ll do
- Build and maintain a Chart of Accounts for real estate and construction entities.
- Run AP/AR, rent collections, tenant ledgers, and owner distributions.
- Track and reconcile construction job costs against project budgets and catch overruns.
- Reconcile bank, credit-card, and loan accounts every period.
- Produce P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements across multiple properties/LLCs.
- Handle payroll, contractor, and subcontractor payments accurately.
What we’re looking for
- 3–5+ years of hands-on U.S. real estate, property management, or construction bookkeeping.
- Built a Chart of Accounts from scratch.
- Hands-on QuickBooks, Buildium, AppFolio, Yardi, or similar.
- Job costing, tenant ledgers, owner distributions, and multi-property/LLC books.
- Clear written English and reliable overlap with U.S. business hours.
Nice to have
- Experience across both real-estate and construction books.
- Multi-entity / multi-LLC consolidations.
- Payroll and contractor-payment experience.
